Biography

I have been interested in and have pursued art for as long as I can remember. Perhaps because I find it easier to express myself more clearly through imagery than spoken word. Although an experienced sculptor, (clay and wood), painting is my preferred medium, primarily with acrylic and oil on canvas. Many of my earlier works were created based on personal memories, however more recently I have begun to create abstract, portraiture, still life and landscape pieces. I enjoy challenging myself creatively and am constantly seeking to develop and improve my skill set. I achieve this through extensive research, (I am interested in old religious paintings and often apply elements in my works), and by dedicated practice. Having formerly worked solely within structured studio spaces, I now find alternative, e.g. outdoor spaces in which to create my art also. I have participated in exhibitions in the UK, Canada and Poland and I am now developing a secure online presence.
